Anden Townhomes Provide San Diego Multi-Family Solar in San Marcos

HES Solar designed and installed an impressive San Diego Multi-family solar system in 2020 for the Anden luxury apartments in San Marcos, California. Anden wanted the best commercial solar company in San Diego for the project. A recent fly-over with a drone reveals a beautiful system spread out through the gorgeous community.

The solar arrays cover 24 different townhome rooftops. Each rooftop array was designed for that specific rooftop. So although they all look similarly crisp and well-built, you can see in the video that each rooftop’s solar panels create a different shape of panels. The different arrays provide solar power to the units under that roof. Therefore, the overall system is designed in a similar way the individual solar systems for each unit would be designed. HES Solar and Anden had the opportunity and the capability, so they designed all the systems together as one well-designed multi-family solar system.

A Lot of Panels, A Lot of Power

You’ll notice a lot of panels across the 24 rooftops. In fact the complete multi-family system uses 1,886 panels in its design. SunPower E20-330-COM commercial solar panels make up the system. HES Solar is a SunPower commercial dealer as well as being a SunPower residential Master Dealer. A Master Dealer is a solar installer at the highest level of partnership with SunPower. Master Dealer status is only available for residential divisions. Commercial divisions do not participate in the Master Dealer program. The Master Dealer program is offered by invite-only. A solar installer must demonstrate consistent best quality solar installs to become a Master Dealer. In addition, the installer must provide top level customer service. HES Solar has been a top San Diego solar company since it was founded in San Diego in 2001.

Interestingly, at the time of this story being posted to our website in April of 2022, SunPower awarded HES Solar the 2021 Intelegant Award Regional – West to the commercial division. They also awarded HES Solar the Regional Residential Dealer of the Year honors. In addition, in the previous year, the solar division won the 2020 National Dealer of the Year for Commercial honor .This is SunPower’s highest honor. HES Solar received that 2020-year recognition in the same calendar year that we installed this San Diego multi-family solar system in San Marcos, California. Certainly the well-designed and large-scale apartment complex solar system was partly to credit for receiving SunPower’s highest honor. Therefore HES Solar has proven to be an award-winning solar installer in Southern California.
