CUT OVERHEAD TO SPEED GROWTH AND INCREASE PROFITS

Retail

A commercial solar system provides Southern California retail locations with energy cost savings as well as energy consistency and dependability. A solar plus energy storage system allows businesses to keep the doors open for customers and employees with a welcoming, comfortable environment. HES Solar has the experience and local understanding to ensure your business gets every benefit to stay competitive and avoid cost fluctuations due to unpredictable utility rate changes or seasonal price fluctuations.

HES Solar has been helping clients turn California sunshine into enticing interior environments and keep monthly utility costs steady since 2001. Oftentimes the commercial solar system’s payback period is only a few years and retail businesses are able to nearly remove energy costs from the store’s overhead and invest that savings into competitive measures and company growth. We’ll also guide you toward getting the maximum 26% tax credit from the ITC (Investment Tax Credit), the full rebate from SGIP (Self Generated Investment Program) for any energy storage units, as well as additional tax benefits a commercial solar system will provide. On top of all of that, a solar system can increase its benefits if you have property improvements in your near-future plans.

HES Solar, like you, knows the importance of providing top-level product and customer care as well as the need to deliver a great client experience; and like you we understand and benefit from building enduring relationships in the community. We have been a San Diego-based solar installer since 2001 and want to partner with you to provide you with the freedom to take your retail business to the next level by putting you in control of your own energy production.

Photovoltaic (PV) solar is a great fit for retail businesses. For example, Auto Dealerships, on average, consume 18% more energy than typical office buildings. Over two billion dollars are spent by the auto dealership industry on energy expenses every year. All retail companies want their customers in a comfortable environment, and during the hot Southern California summers that adds up to high air conditioning costs. A commercial solar array can help save a car dealership hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.

Consider, too, the value customers place on a local retail business operating with clean, green, renewable energy. As customers consider company philosophies along with the look, quality, or value of the products they provide, you’ll strengthen your relationship with local customers and gain an edge in customer retention with a solar system providing energy to your brand.

Carport Installations

Carport solar panels provide welcoming, shaded parking for customers. For auto dealers, carport solar helps protect the cars on your lot from the sun and bad weather, allows for better test drive experiences on hot or rainy days, and allows the option of conveniently installing electric vehicle chargers so all of your EVs will always be ready for a test drive.

With solar carports, cars will stay cooler inside for a better overall customer experience no matter what your product. Also, a carport solar panel system makes a visible statement about your retail business’ commitment to sustainability. HES Solar can provide everything needed to turn an open parking area into a solar energy producing, and welcoming, lot. We can provide charging stations whether for EV auto sales demonstrations or for an enticement for retail shoppers to spend more time inside your business.

NET ENERGY METERING 3.0 INFORMATION

Net Energy Metering 3.0 (NEM 3.0) is the incoming law created by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). The new tariffs and fees will impact both residential and commercial solar systems built in California.

As this notice is posted in November of 2022, the Proposed Decision from the CPUC outlining the proposed NEM 3.0 terms is expected soon. This comes after a year’s delay. Once the new agreement is finalized and passed into law, there will exist a designation of the deadline under which new systems will continue to qualify for NEM 2.0 rates.

The new NEM 3.0 rates will be designed to lower the value of electricity during the daytime hours, when solar is producing, and increase the value of electricity during the evening hours, when solar homes and businesses purchase electricity. In short, NEM 3.0 will create a “sell low, buy high” proposition to new solar system owners.

To Californians looking to install a solar system on their home or commercial building, the NEM 2.0 rates will be preferred. As of this post, the solar industry does not know the details of how different the NEM 3.0 rates will be from the NEM 2.0 rates.
