We started in 2001 as a San Diego company dedicated only to solar installations and have been an innovator and industry leader from the start. Over the years we’ve expanded to include home batteries and EV chargers, but our core and singular business has been showing homeowners how to produce, manage, and use energy that their own home can provide to them.
We’ve honed our process of working with our customers to create the right system for them over the coming decades. We educate homeowners as far as they want to learn so they can fully understand, appreciate, and enjoy what solar energy can bring to their lives. We continue to be a friend and resource and will always be here. We have been in the solar installation business for twenty years – something few other companies can claim. We’ll be here when you need us tomorrow and we’ll still be here when you need us after another twenty years of bright, sunny days in Southern California.
SunPower by HES Solar and SunPower strive to provide Southern California homeowners with peace of mind knowing their solar panel system has the best-combined product, power, and installation warranty. The systems are designed to give you more electricity and more energy in less space while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of your home, all combined under a single manufacturer’s warranty to streamline any future concerns.

Net Energy Metering 3.0 (NEM 3.0) is the incoming law created by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). The new tariffs and fees will impact both residential and commercial solar systems built in California.
As this notice is posted in November of 2022, the Proposed Decision from the CPUC outlining the proposed NEM 3.0 terms is expected soon. This comes after a year’s delay. Once the new agreement is finalized and passed into law, there will exist a designation of the deadline under which new systems will continue to qualify for NEM 2.0 rates.
The new NEM 3.0 rates will be designed to lower the value of electricity during the daytime hours, when solar is producing, and increase the value of electricity during the evening hours, when solar homes and businesses purchase electricity. In short, NEM 3.0 will create a “sell low, buy high” proposition to new solar system owners.
To Californians looking to install a solar system on their home or commercial building, the NEM 2.0 rates will be preferred. As of this post, the solar industry does not know the details of how different the NEM 3.0 rates will be from the NEM 2.0 rates.
